What's in store for GSC
11 Feb 2010
That's a difficult question to answer. I want to say it's pretty much over. I always told myself that I'd actually finish this one proper but every time I feel like working on it I can't imagine it ever ending... until I just do. Then I find myself still in the middle of whatever story arch I was working on with no motivation to make even a single comic more. Who knows why it works that way but those of you who've been around pretty much know the drill.

On the other hand every time I say I'm done with this strip, I 'll be damned if I don't start spontaneously updating again for no reason whatsoever. So when I say I don't know what's next its because I honestly do not know. So many times I've felt my attentions wander to other projects or my artistic needs shift to more art central work only to come back to this webcomic. And each time it feels like a homecoming. I guess that just makes me a webcartoonist whether I like it or not. And truthfully, I kind of like it.

All I can offer you folks right now is that while I don't know if you'll see another GSC comic you will definitely be seeing me again. I'm working on that thing with Zach Wiener and I've got a few other ideas cooking so there is no shortage of inspiration. And who knows, I may get to reading through the GSC archives again one day and these characters will speak to me as they often like to do. All things are not only possible but likely.

Thanks for sticking around guys and I hope you've enjoyed the comics I've made so far. When next I have something for you to see you'll hear about it right here.

Been a While

Yes, I know. I've been very busy as I imagine many of you have been over the holiday season and it hasn't quite let up yet. As always I have a few irons in the fire and as a result GSC hasn't been updated as much as I'd like. There's a new one coming soon. Likely tomorrow.

I'm also working hard on the Chason strip with Zach and James and we're all really excited to show you what we're putting together. Right now were looking at a launch in about February but that's not written in stone. I really think I'm producing some of my best art in a long time on that strip and my partner's writing has me taking some chances and learning a lot.

Besides that I also have a little side business that I'm trying to start up which I guess I'm not really prepared to talk about but when it's ready you guys will hear about it here first. In any case look forward to more GSC in the coming days. This story arch is winding up to its inevitable twist and will be coming to a close before long so stay tuned. I know you guys have waited a while to see what happens with the inquest and poor Robert. You won't be disappointed.

A Barbarian Ate my Free Time

Any of you guys ever heard of Zach Weiner. I've read his flag ship comic Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal for years now and it's never failed to at least make me smile. not even once. In fact it's one of the only webcomics that my wife read regularly (for a time) on her own. My wife doesn't read my webcomic.

Anyway a while back Zach hit me up and said that he enjoyed my art and that we should work on a comic or something together. Yea well, I've gotten that email before. The internet is a long story of false starts and unrealized potential. I wrote back saying "Sure thing bro" and pretty much forgot about it. Then a couple weeks ago we bumped into each other again on twitter and did the whole "You're looking well thing" and before we knew it we were tossing ideas back and forth about a new project. Even then it was still to soon to tell if this would turn into something. But then he and his crew got started drawing up plots and character ideas and I got started drawing character sketches. Before long it got to looking like this thing was going to happen.

That's why it brings me great joy to announce that soon, very soon, you will all have the pleasure of enjoying the fruits of what is sure to be one of the most exciting collaborations I've had the privilege of being a part of (did I just shit on all my previous collaborators. I hope not)

Anyway keep an eye out for Chason the Barbarian. Coming soon from me and some other guys:

Who Let the Twits Out!?

Apparently Hap, Horace and Gordon have all taken a sudden interest in Twitter. As such I've helped them each sign up for accounts and promised them I'd make this posting letting the public know that they are now counted among the Tweeting Masses. If you ever wondered just what type of minutia these guys wrestle with on a near hourly basis then feel free to follow them. You obviously have that kind of time.

Also Gordon would like me to mention that in no way is his acceptance of any followers an act of kindness and/or friendship. You may direct message or @mention him at your own peril.
